Hello, everyone!

 

How is your summer going so far? I know some people are dealing with really hot temperatures and forest fires. I hope you are all safe. Here, in the Pacific Northwest, summer is really just beginning. Today, was one of the first truly glorious days we’ve had since I moved back here at the beginning of the month. And this week is supposed to be fantastic. So I’m planning on going for a lot walks and, with luck, even get some beach time in. And what’s my favorite thing to do on the beach? Read, of course!

 

When my children were little, I loved taking them to the beach. It was such a rare treat, and one we all enjoyed. They would run around, splashing in the water (waves if there were any), make sand castles, look for marine life in the rocks, and SMILE. Yes, when we went to the beach, my sometimes surly children would smile. And that made me a very happy mama. So here are some photos of those little faces with big happy smiles. 🙂

      Hello Su,

      Thank you for participating! Including real people in fictional stories is always very touchy, so I prefer to stay away from that. However, they were the inspiration (at least physically) for my characters. 🙂
